The Centre for Information Security (CBI) was established to ensure the highest level of information and IT security at AGH. The unit in its new formula replaced the Independent Cyber Security Monitoring Section.
The CBI is an integral part of AGH Security and Defense Sector and, working with other units, ensures the consistency and effectiveness of cyber security activities.
The center's key task is to oversee and coordinate cyber security activities and advisory activities in this area. This includes, among other things, monitoring the activity and vulnerability of the university's networks and information systems, along with testing their security. The unit also conducts a wide range of educational activities: from support in the design and implementation of information security solutions, to security selection and training for university employees and external entities. The CBI also sets guidelines, creates policies, rules and procedures related to cyber security, and coordinates the implementation of these procedures at the university.
